SocialConnect

Social Connect is a site that can send data from any of your notifications to post to in Slack, Yammer, or HipChat. Follow these steps to configure Social Connect for your account.

Slack

1. Go to the Slack App Directory and select Incoming Webhooks. Add a new webhook, select the channel to post notification, and copy the Webhook URL for later when configuring Social Connect.

2. Go to socialconnect.axosoft.com and enter your Axosoft url to connect. The site will guide your through using tooltips to format your messages, and ask you to enter your Slack Webhook URL from step 1.

3. Paste the link from your Social Connect account into any notifications that you would want to send to your slack channels and paste in the POST URL section of any notifications. For different notifications, you can select which Slack channel to post the notification from Axosoft, by entering the name of the channel at the end of the URL.

HipChat

1. Create an Access Token at hipchat.com/account/api that can Send Notifications and copy the token for later when configuring Social Connect.

2. Go to socialconnect.axosoft.com and enter your Axosoft url to connect. The site will guide your through using tooltips to format your messages, and ask you to enter your HipChat Access Token from step 1.

3. Paste the link from your Social Connect account into any notifications that you would want to send to your slack channels and paste in the POST URL section of any notifications. For different notifications, you can select which HipChat room to post the notification from Axosoft, by entering the name of the room at the end of the URL.

Yammer

1. Go to socialconnect.axosoft.com and enter your Axosoft url to connect.

2. Login to your Yammer Account and select Yammer channel.

3. Continue to the next step on Social Connect to format your messages.

4. Paste the link from your Social Connect account into any notifications that you would want to send to your Yammer account and paste in the POST URL section of any notifications.
